Meet Our team

Danny & ALLESHA Childress

FOUNDERS OF ROCK BOTTOM HOPE

I (Danny) was raised well in a Christian home, but I lost my way completely around the age of 14. I began a downward spiral and got my life pretty meth'd up at an early age. Sexual depravity, jail time, and on my way to prison... God found me at ROCK BOTTOM!

Since finding Jesus and sobriety in 2008, I have worked as the Intake Coordinator for Central Oregon Adult & Teen Challenge, helped cultivate a Children’s & Family non-profit, opened a Community Pay It Forward program; and served as a Campus Pastor for Mission Church; a multi-site church community. Now God has given me the amazing blessing of being able to serve people through Rock Bottom Hope full time!

I serve as the CEO & Founder of Rock Bottom Hope and coach people at all stages in their recovery and I love to encourage them to the HOPE that is available to them. I also work with family members who are struggling with loved ones lost in addiction or hopelessness. I inspire to freedom, breakthrough, and wellness.

I work with a team of Hope Coaches certified through our own RBH training program to help others find eternal hope. Through strategic conversations and planning we help others with the tools they need to walk in breakthrough and freedom. We know that HOPE can find you anywhere, and we help you on your journey.

  • Allesha Childress

    Program Director and Administration

Allesha serves as the Program Director at Rock Bottom Hope (RBH), helping lead the heart behind the mission and walking closely with individuals and families in some of their hardest seasons. With deep compassion, wisdom, and a genuine love for people, she helps create programs and support systems that remind others they are not alone and that hope is still possible.

Her passion for this mission comes from years of ministry experience and seeing firsthand the impact that addiction, trauma, and hopelessness can have on individuals and families. She believes healing begins when people feel seen, loved, and supported without judgment. “People don’t just need resources,” she says. “They need someone willing to walk with them and remind them they still have value, purpose, and hope.”

Allesha has a special heart for families, marriages, and those trying to rebuild their lives after difficult circumstances. Whether she’s helping guide programs, encouraging someone one-on-one, or supporting the day-to-day needs of RBH, she brings authenticity, grace, and strength into everything she does.

Outside of RBH, she loves spending time with her family and dreaming with her husband, Danny.

    She lives by the words:

“God can take the very thing that tried to break you and use it to help bring healing to someone else.”

  • ADAM GUY

    Podcast host

The Lord is his inspiration, and he does his best to follow wherever He leads. After God brought him out of his own rock bottom, it only made sense that He’d call him to help others through theirs. It’s an honor to bring hope where it may feel like there’s none left.

He loves that God uses him as a microphone to point people to Jesus and that it all started with one of the boldest prayers he’s ever prayed. God keeps answering in ways he never expected.

To him, purpose is the ever-changing journey of life, moving with intention, guided by Jesus, and learning the why behind every step.

He’s got a gift for making up silly songs (especially about food), and when he’s not recording, you’ll find him volunteering, playing “funcle” with his nieces and nephews, hanging with close friends, or hiking with his dog.

    Superpower of Choice:
Mantis’s ability to read and change emotions, because let’s be honest, it’d help fix a lot of awkward moments.

    Favorite Verse:
Isaiah 58:11–12 – “And the LORD will guide you continually… you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.”

  • Crystal Duke

    HOPE LINE COORDINATOR

Crystal is often the first voice of hope someone hears when they reach out to Rock Bottom Hope. As our Hope Line Coordinator, she works behind the scenes to ensure every call, message, and prayer request is handled with care. From coordinating next steps to connecting individuals with mentors, resources, and support, she helps guide people from crisis toward healing.

Crystal’s walk with Christ is rooted in humility and transformation. Before stepping into freedom, she was a recovering alcoholic battling pride, anger, control, and fear — fear of rejection, fear of not being enough, and fear of vulnerability. Though she believed she had already overcome much on her own, God revealed there was still deeper healing ahead.

Today, Crystal lives in freedom from alcoholism, anger, isolation, and shame. She continues to surrender pride and control daily, praying, “Lord, let it be Your will, not mine.” Her 20-year marriage is stronger than ever, built on faith, communication, and mutual respect.

    She lives by the reminder:

“I am perfectly imperfect, created by God just as I am — and I don’t have to do this alone.”
